Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Operations Support Manager to join our team supporting our Manchester Airport contract. As Operations Support Manager, you’ll be the key link between retail and F&B concessions and logistics and terminal teams, driving clear communication and strong stakeholder relationships. You’ll track service performance, capture feedback, and turn insight into action, improving coordination and service delivery across a fast-paced airport operation. This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 06:00 – 14:00 with some flexibility required to meet operational requirements. What you’ll do on a typical day: • Support the management of GXO operational staff, including performance, attendance, recruitment, onboarding, and development • Apply company policies consistently and support people management processes, including performance and disciplinary matters where required • Act as a key link between retail partners and GXO operations, building strong relationships and proactively managing service expectations • Coordinate day-to-day activity between Terminal operations and the Consolidation Centre, ensuring priorities are delivered efficiently • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to enhancing processes, communication, and service delivery • Work with senior leaders to evolve the role and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement What you need to succeed at GXO: • Experience in a people management or supervisory role within an airport environment (preferred), operations, logistics, retail, or a multi-site environment • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders • Proven ability to manage staff performance, attendance, and day-to-day operational issues • Strong customer service mindset with problem-solving ability • Exposure to compliance, audits, or regulated environments We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
