As a health care assistant in ophthalmic outpatients you will gain experience in: Patients' visual acuity using different techniques Insulation of dilating eye drops in to patients eyes Competency in I care rebound tonometry Competency for the ocular response analyser (auto tonometer) Competency in autorefractor measurements coordination of specialised clinics such as LASER, cataract clinics, AMD etc. Contribute to the promotion of ophthalmic health for all patients Assist all grades of clinicians with clinics. Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and legible. Ensure clinics run smoothly. Ensure all supplies and stock is available and well stocked. Support patients.
