Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant to join our professional team at our independent practice. This role involves supporting optometrists in delivering exceptional eye care services. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. Responsibilities
• Assisting optometrists with patient examinations and frame fittings
• Supporting the preparation and organisation of optical lenses and frames
• Providing excellent customer service by explaining products and procedures to patients
• Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the optical practice environment
• Recording patient details accurately within the practice management system
• Assisting with stock control, including ordering and inventory management
• Supporting laboratory tasks such as mounting when required
Skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment

Pay: £25,420.00-£34,125.00 per year
