About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Account Director - Paid Search to take ownership of strategic search activity across key client accounts. This is a senior role responsible for shaping paid search strategy, guiding campaign direction, and ensuring high-quality execution across all activity. You will act as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams, providing strategic oversight, performance insight, and actionable recommendations to improve results and drive growth. Key Responsibilities • Lead the strategic direction of paid search activity across assigned accounts • Act as a senior client contact, providing insight and recommendations • Oversee campaign performance and ensure alignment with KPIs and objectives • Ensure best practice is consistently applied across all paid search activity • Support test-and-learn approaches and optimisation strategies • Provide strategic oversight of campaign planning, execution, and reporting • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams • Monitor industry trends and platform developments to identify opportunities • Contribute to wider search strategy and knowledge sharing across teams • Ensure governance, quality standards, and process compliance are maintained Skills & Experience • Strong background in paid search strategy and account management • Experience in a client-facing or agency environment • Strong understanding of digital marketing and performance media • Confident managing senior stakeholders and client relationships • Experience across major paid search platforms and tools • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Ability to support and guide junior team members Desirable: Experience with additional search platforms.
