Pallet Truck Team Member

This role is a genuine temp to perm position, with an increase in pay rate once probation is successfully completed. Transport provided from various pick-up points in Scarborough. Pay Rates: £12.75 increasing to £13.26 after 12 weeks and overtime is paid at £. Experience within a production/warehouse environment would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be given. Main Duties & Responsibilities: • Safely and accurately operate manual or electric pallet truck to move and transport goods within a shop floor environment. • Load and unload materials correctly, and support production team members. • Understand work instructions, and maintain quality levels. • Use handheld scanners and other devices. • Adhere to all safety procedures within the workplace. Requirements: • Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination. • Physical ability to lift and move items as needed. • Fast-paced environment. • Quality checking. • Labelling and Packing. • Maintain good housekeeping. • Adhering to Health and Safety. • Reliable and committed. • Positive attitude to work. • Good English skills both written and verbal. • Teamwork. Candidates must be able to work all 3 shifts on rotation. Days: Wednesday to Friday 7:50am - 20.00pm - 2 rest days Nights: Monday to Wednesday 19:50pm - 8:00am - 4 rest days Split Shift: Monday and Tuesday 7.50am - 20.00pm - 1 rest day Thursday and Friday 19:50pm - 8:00am - 4 rest days Benefits: • Full training and induction programme. • Development opportunities. • Weekly pay. • Paid 2 x 15-minute breaks. • No weekends. • Overtime. • Long term. • Onsite Canteen. • Free on-site parking.
