Paraplanner
Location: Richmond (Hybrid Working) Salary: £55,000 per annum + Benefits
About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established and growing financial planning firm.
This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced Financial Advisers, providing high-quality technical support and helping to deliver tailored financial planning solutions to clients.
The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team environment, with excellent opportunities for career progression, ongoing training, and support towards Chartered status.
Following an initial training period, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote working, office-based collaboration, and in-person meetings depending on business and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support the preparation of comprehensive financial plans.
• Gather and organise client information, including income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities.
• Use financial planning software to model scenarios and cashflow projections.
• Prepare suitability reports, investment recommendations, and technical research.
• Assist advisers in developing and implementing bespoke financial strategies.
• Research financial products and investment solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
• Keep abreast of market developments, legislation, and regulatory changes.
About YouYou will be a highly organised and analytical professional with strong technical knowledge and a genuine passion for financial planning.
Qualifications
• CII Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent) with substantial paraplanning experience.
• Ambition to progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status (fully supported).
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
Knowledge & Experience
• Good understanding of pensions, investments, personal tax, estate planning, and protection.
• Ability to perform basic tax calculations.
• Proven experience in an established Paraplanning role within a financial planning environment.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end financial planning process.
• Experience with financial planning and back-office systems such as Genovo and/or Intelliflo Office.
Skills
• Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach.
