Main Duties of the Job
• Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of activities and wellbeing opportunities for residents.
• Develop meaningful one-to-one and group activities that reflect residents' interests, abilities and preferences.
• Promote social interaction, independence and inclusion throughout the home.
• Build positive relationships with residents and gain an understanding of their life histories, hobbies and personal interests.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities while respecting individual choices and preferences.
• Organise themed events, celebrations and seasonal activities throughout the year.
• Support residents to access community-based opportunities, outings and special events where appropriate.
• Develop positive relationships with relatives, volunteers and community groups to enhance the activities programme.
• Monitor participation and gather feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain records of activities, resident engagement and outcomes in line with company procedures.
• Ensure activities are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant policies and risk assessments.
• Work collaboratively with care and hospitality teams to enhance residents' overall wellbeing and experience.
• Assist in creating a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment throughout the home.
• Uphold the values and standards of St Helens Hall Care Home and Sandstone Care Group at all times.
• Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the wellbeing of residents and the effective operation of the home.
