Job description

We are looking for an experienced Part time Senior Payroll Specialist to take ownership of payroll operations across multiple legal entities, managing both weekly and monthly payrolls. This is a senior, hands-on position offering significant responsibility within a growing business. You'll manage end-to-end payroll processing, act as the subject matter expert for all payroll matters, and play a key role in the ongoing development and optimisation of payroll systems and processes. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced payroll professional seeking part-time hours without sacrificing challenge, autonomy, or impact Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll processing across multiple entities. • Process starters, leavers, contractual changes, statutory payments and final salary calculations. • Ensure accurate and timely HMRC submissions, including FPS and EPS reporting. • Administer workplace pension schemes, auto-enrolment and salary sacrifice arrangements. • Manage tax code changes, HMRC correspondence and year-end payroll activities. • Maintain payroll controls, procedures, records and audit trails. • Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries. • Support payroll reporting, reconciliations and finance-related payroll processes. • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll data. • Drive continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems. What We're Looking For Essential • Significant experience managing end-to-end UK payroll. • Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, RTI and statutory payments. • Experience administering workplace pension schemes and auto-enrolment. • Ability to work independently and confidently manage a payroll function. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong compliance awareness. • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
