Job description

The Role On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Part Time Prep School Administrator. This is a pivotal role supporting a vibrant primary education environment. Reporting to the Head of Prep School, the Administrator acts as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors. The role combines front-of-house reception duties with newsletter production, club administration and pupil welfare support, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day school life. Responsibilities will include • Greet pupils, parents, staff and visitors, manage enquiries and operate the switchboard. • Produce and distribute the weekly Prep School newsletter accurately and on time. • Maintain club registers, coordinate sign-ups and liaise with internal and external providers. • Support pupil welfare by responding to queries, arranging extracurricular lessons and escorting pupils to the medical centre when required. • Complete accident and incident records in line with school procedures. • Sign pupils out during the afternoon attendance process and update relevant records. • Notify the appropriate authorities of pupil movements where required. • Organise parents’ evening calendars and related administrative arrangements. • Promote child protection policies and support safeguarding compliance across the school. • Uphold equal opportunity, health and safety, and confidentiality standards at all times. The Person The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and the confidence to work in a busy school environment. You will be organised, approachable and able to manage a varied workload with accuracy and discretion. • Previous experience administration experience • Experience of dealing with parents, pupils or customers in a front-facing environment. • Experience of handling sensitive information • Ideally experience of working in a school or education environment The Hours 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, term-time only. The Salary £12,911 per annum, equivalent to £27,199 full-time.
