We are partnering with a leading, international financial services organisation to recruit aPayroll Specialist (French payroll) to take ownership of payroll operations for France. Key Responsibilities
• You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth payroll delivery while also contributing to a key transformation programme, including the migration to Oracle Cloud.
• Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle for France, ensuring all variable elements (bonuses, commissions, overtime, etc.) are accurately processed via the payroll provider
• Act as the primary liaison with the external payroll vendor, monitoring performance against SLAs and ensuring timely outputs
• Partner closely with HR Business Partners and internal stakeholders to collect, validate, and process payroll data
• Interpret and manage complex French payroll components, including:
• Benefits in Kind (BIK)
• RTT (Réduction du Temps de Travail)
• Stock options and RSUs
• Collective agreement (Convention Collective) requirements
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing clear guidance on payslips, social charges, and Prélèvement à la Source (PAS)
• Ensure full compliance with French labour law and social security regulations, including responsibility for DSN submissions and annual declarations
• Conduct detailed pre- and post-payroll reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and reduce risk
• Support a payroll transformation project, including system migration from a legacy platform to Oracle Cloud, participating in testing and implementation activities
Skills & Experience Required
• Proven experience managing French payroll end-to-end
• Strong working knowledge of French payroll legislation, including DSN, PAS, and social contributions
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
• Familiarity with complex pay structures and benefits within France
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on compliance and accuracy
• Experience supporting system implementations or payroll transformations is highly desirable
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
