PDI Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced PDI Technician to join a reputable main dealer in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled PDI Technician to work within a busy fleet department, ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest standards before delivery. Benefits: • Competitive basic salary with OTE of £43,000+ • Monday to Friday working, 40 hours per week • No weekend working • 31 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with service • Manufacturer training and fully funded nationally recognised qualifications • Career progression opportunities • Employee Assistance Programme • Pension scheme • Retail and leisure discounts • Friends & Family discounts on products and services • Recommend a Friend Scheme • Supportive and friendly working environment Duties of a PDI Technician: • Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles • Performing collection inspections prior to customer handover • Conducting minor servicing and mechanical repairs as required • Fitting accessories to vehicles when necessary as a PDI Technician • Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and company standards • Identifying and reporting any additional repair or safety issues • Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment, adhering to health and safety protocols Requirements of a PDI Technician: • Previous workshop experience • Ability to conduct PDIs accurately and efficiently • Good understanding of vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship • Positive attitude and effective team working skills • Full UK manual driving licence • Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential Contact Billy Peasgood, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Ilkeston and Derbyshire, today to discover more about this fantastic PDI Technician opportunity.
