Audit Senior - Pensions Competitive salary + benefits Agile working I'm working with a leading national accountancy firm that is looking to appoint an Audit Senior into its specialist pensions audit team. This is a strong opportunity for an ACA, CA or ACCA qualified/finalist auditor who wants to build deeper specialist experience within pensions audit, while still working within a supportive, progressive and highly regarded audit environment. The team works with a varied portfolio of high-profile pension fund clients, delivering statutory audit, assurance and advisory support that adds real value to trustee governance and scheme management. The Role As Audit Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance work across a specialist pensions client base. You will be involved across the full audit cycle, from planning through to completion, while supporting managers, senior managers and directors on client assignments. Responsibilities will include: • Supervising and undertaking statutory pension scheme audits • Working across all stages of the audit process, from planning to completion • Delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines • Reporting to Managers, Senior Managers and Directors on audit and assurance assignments • Supporting pensions assurance projects, including client liaison and report preparation • Ensuring work is completed in line with professional standards and client expectations • Providing insightful comments and added value to clients • Supporting and mentoring junior team members • Contributing to continuous improvement across the team What They're Looking For The firm is keen to speak with ambitious audit professionals who either already have pensions audit experience, or strong relevant audit experience and a genuine interest in developing further within this specialist area. You will ideally have: • ACA, CA or ACCA qualification, or be in the final stages • Experience auditing pension schemes • Good understanding of the pensions SORP • Working knowledge of relevant pensions regulations • Strong audit methodology and technical skills • The ability to take ownership of work and deliver against audit objectives • Confidence supporting and mentoring junior team members • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines • A collaborative, professional and client-focused approach Why Apply?
