Job description

Performance Test Engineer - Outside IR35 - 6 month initial contract - London/hybrid - up to £525 per day We're looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to lead and deliver end-to-end performance testing for a modern web platform built on a microservices architecture. Key responsibilities: • Define and implement the performance testing strategy. • Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and capacity tests. • Develop and maintain test scripts using JMeter or similar tools. • Identify and analyse performance bottlenecks across applications and services. • Work closely with Development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve issues and improve scalability. • Produce clear performance reports and recommendations for stakeholders. Required experience: • Proven performance testing experience in web-based environments. • Strong knowledge of performance testing frameworks and methodologies. • Experience with microservices and API-driven applications. • Hands-on expertise with JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, or k6. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
