Job Title: Physics Lecturer (Temporary) Location: Various Locations Contract Type: Temporary / Agency Assignment Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available About the Role We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Physics Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is a temporary opportunity offering flexibility and the chance to make a real impact on learners studying Physics across a variety of programmes and levels. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their scientific knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of key Physics principles while helping them achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Physics lessons. • Teach Physics to learners across a range of levels and abilities. • Assess, monitor, and track student progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners. • Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support practical learning activities in accordance with health and safety guidelines. • Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression. Requirements • Relevant degree or qualification in Physics or a related scientific discipline. • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). • Experience teaching Physics within Further Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. • Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities. • Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for science education.
