Pipe Fitter

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Experienced Compressed Air Pipe Fitter on behalf of our client based in Witham, Essex on a permanent basis. Roles & Responsibilities • Install aluminium, copper, stainless steel and threaded steel pipework for compressed air and industrial gas systems • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipework to required dimensions • Install pipe supports, brackets, hangers and clamps • Assemble and connect pipework using mechanical fittings, brazing, soldering and welding techniques where required • Carry out pressure testing, leak testing and commissioning of completed systems • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and preventative maintenance on compressed air systems • Replace damaged components and ensure systems are operating efficiently • Work alongside electricians, engineers and other trades to complete projects • Ensure all work is completed to health and safety regulations and company standards • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment • Travel to customer sites as required Additional Responsibilities • Assist with project coordination and site installations • Support and mentor junior pipe fitters where required • Complete installation reports and relevant documentation • Ensure projects are completed to agreed timescales and quality standards Experience, Skills & Qualifications • Minimum of 4-5 years' experience as a Pipe Fitter, ideally within compressed air or industrial gas systems • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications • Experience working with aluminium, copper, stainless steel and threaded steel pipework • Knowledge of brazing, soldering, welding and mechanical pipe fitting techniques • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills • Full UK Driving Licence • CSCS Card desirable • IPAF and PASMA certification advantageous • TIG and/or MIG welding experience beneficial • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Working Pattern & Benefits Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm Benefits: Overtime available, Company vehicle (where applicable), Ongoing training and development, Free on-site parking Salary: £ (DOE) Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance and IT.
