Planning & Environmental Manager, Birmingham, £65,000+ (DOE) – We are looking for a Planning & Environmental Manager to join a growing Birmingham team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a specialist function supporting high-profile residential, commercial and infrastructure developments nationwide. JOB REF: 4346. THE ROLE: • As Planning & Environmental Manager, you'll lead the specialist statutory agreements function, ensuring the successful management, review and delivery of a wide range of development-related legal agreements. • You will work closely with planning professionals, developers, local authorities and legal teams to keep projects progressing efficiently while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy and compliance. • Manage workloads and monitor progress across multiple live projects. • Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for junior team members. • Maintain accurate records and document schedules throughout each project. • Ensure robust file management procedures and compliance with quality standards. • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and key stakeholders. • Support the wider Planning & Environmental team on a variety of development projects. SKILLS REQUIRED: • You will be an organised and proactive leader with experience managing statutory agreements and supporting complex development projects. • Previous experience leading or supervising a professional team. • Strong knowledge of statutory infrastructure agreements and development processes. • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. • Commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset. • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
