Practice Accountant

Responsibilities: As a Practice Accountant, you will be… • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. • Producing and submitting Self Assessment and Corporation Tax returns. • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation. • Processing payroll and handling PAYE-related matters. • Providing clients with day-to-day accounting, tax and business advice. • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, responding to queries professionally and efficiently. • Using cloud-based accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records. • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where required. Requirements: As a Practice Accountant, you will need... • ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent • Have recent experience working within an accountancy practice. • Be confident preparing statutory accounts, Self Assessment and Corporation Tax returns. • Have a solid understanding of VAT, payroll and general practice compliance.
