Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the
practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities

Functional management of all clinical and
administrative staff
•
Direct line management of all non-clinical staff
and a dotted line to clinical staff

Managing the recruitment process for the practice

gardening, window cleaning etc

Leading change and continuous improvement
initiatives alongside the Head of Group Operations and Group Practice Manager
•
Contributing to the reviewing and updating of all Inspire
healthcare group policies and procedures

Developing, implementing and embedding an efficient
business continuity plan
•
Working alongside the Head of Group Finance and
Head of Group Operations in working on the financial elements of the practice,
including budgets etc.
•
Supporting the team to reach QOF targets (supported
by the nursing and administrative leads)
•
Coordinating the practice diary, ensuring meetings
are scheduled appropriately
•
Attending external meetings as Practice Manager
representative as required
•
Contribute to Yorkleigh Surgery newsletter
•
Work with the Patient Participation Group and colleagues
to improve the patient experience
•
Complaints management in line with the Inspire
Healthcare process and annual return. Liaising with the ICB for direct patient
complaints
•
Overseeing management of the premises, including
health and safety aspects such as risk assessments, safety checks. Ensuring all
checks and assessments are documented.
•
Overseeing the practice IT system, delegating staff
to act as administrators
•
Ensuring compliance with IT security and Information
Governance
•
Coordinating of all projects within the practice
and contributing to wider Inspire Healthcare initiatives
•
Ensuring all staff have the appropriate level of
training to enable them to carry out their individual roles and
responsibilities effectively. Ensuring that this is documented.

Manage QOF jointly with the other Practice
Managers, monitor target achievement to maximise practice income
•
Manage and maximise all enhanced services, ensuring
that such services meet the required standards
•
Ensure submission of any claims/audits to meet
deadlines.
•
Support the finance team with payroll information
and queries
• Human
Resource/Administration
•
Overall management of the practice team
•
Promote change management within the practice teams
to optimise performance and promote positive morale
•
Undertake any disciplinary procedures in accordance
with approved practice and current law
•
Promote and support the development of practice
members
•
Work with the Allied Health Manager and Cheltenham Nurse
Manager on nursing provision within the practice
•
Work with the Reception Manager in ensuring
adequate cover arrangements across the practice including review of workload
and staffing levels of reception
•
Manage the clinical rotas and book locums where
necessary. Liaise with the Head of Group operations and Senior Partner on
clinical provision issues.
•
Induction, probationary review of new non-clinical
staff and annual appraisals
•
Managing and keeping full records of sickness
absence and undertaking HR reviews as and when required
•
Regularly review staff development and ensure all
staff have regular appraisals and 1:1s
•
Ensure systems are being followed to deliver high
standard of achievement of enhanced services.
•
Contribute to staff newsletters and practice awards
on a quarterly basis
•
Undertake reviews of all complaints and significant
events. Collate and action as appropriate
•
Attend PCN meetings alongside the GP representative
•
Attend the Inspire Healthcare Group Operations
meetings

•
Liaise with computer suppliers if any IT issues
•
Ensure all staff are appropriately trained to
utilise IT
•
Ensure compliance with NHS and data protection
requirements
• Clinical

Support on the patient facing aspects of System 1
to include all aspects of rota set up and diary management
•
Lead in the co-ordination of immunisation campaigns
(flu, pneumo, shingles, etc) as and when required, liaising with key clinical
team members

Undertake regular health and safety audits to
