Clinical Responsibilities Act as the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) lead for the practice, ensuring the IPC Policy is implemented and maintained Consult with patients and their families to undertake assessments and deliver care based on patient need Manage long-term conditions, contributing to quality improvement and assurance initiatives Develop and embed an effective care management programme for frail and housebound patients Support public health and screening programmes, including immunisations, vaccinations, and cancer screening Perform Cervical screening Provide opportunistic health promotion advice and lead on public health campaigns (e.g. flu clinics) Provide travel advice services and vaccinations Perform venepuncture and electrocardiography Leg ulcer management, dopplers and compression bandaging. Undertake wound care/ management/dressing techniques. Carry out ear examination and syringing, following appropriate training and assessment. Administer adult and paediatric injections under an individualised prescription or Patient Group Direction, ensuring safe storage, rotation and disposal of vaccines and drugs.
