Practice Nurse

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following Clinical • Undertake cytology and action results appropriately • Routine acute wound care • Care of chronic wounds, pressure and leg ulcers • Removal of Sutures/Staples • Urinalysis for both acute and chronic conditions • Travel planning • Family planning Contraception • Hormone Replacement Treatment monitoring • ECGs both acute and routine as required • Peak Flow Readings • Phlebotomy • Long term condition management (Diabetes, Asthma, COPD) • Hypertension Management 24hr Blood Pressure Monitoring and blood pressure checks in clinic • Ear syringing • Adult immunisations • Childhood immunisations • Prepare and send samples for lab testing • Chaperoning or assisting another clinician as requested • Assisting clinicians with minor procedures if required.
