Pre-Sales and Project Delivery Consultant Location: Flexible, with regular travel to offices and customer sites across England Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time About Us At turn IT on, we put schools and their needs first. About the Role We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused Pre-Sales and Project Delivery Consultant to join our Projects team. This is a varied role that combines technical pre-sales expertise with project delivery support. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, develop effective solution designs, provide technical guidance, and help ensure projects are delivered successfully from initial discovery through to implementation and handover. The ideal candidate will have experience within a managed service, technical consultancy or project delivery environment and be confident translating customer requirements into practical, secure and commercially viable solutions. Key Responsibilities • Conduct technical discovery activities to understand customer requirements and project objectives. • Produce solution designs, technical documentation, estimates and implementation plans. • Support the successful delivery of projects, ensuring solutions are implemented in line with agreed scope, quality and timescales. • Act as a technical point of contact throughout project delivery, providing guidance and resolving technical queries. • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Service Desk teams, Procurement and Sales colleagues to ensure smooth project progression. • Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including designs, diagrams and handover materials. • Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and quality considerations. • Support service transition activities, ensuring successful handover into operational support. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, standards and technical solutions. About You We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will ideally have: • Experience in technical pre-sales, solution design, project delivery or technical consultancy. • A strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud technologies, Microsoft 365, networking, security and managed services. • Experience producing technical proposals, estimates and project documentation. • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies and best practices. • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. Desirable • Experience working within the education sector or an IT managed service provider. • Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, Agile or APM. • Microsoft, networking, cloud or security certifications. • Experience supporting tenders, frameworks or complex technical projects.
