Job description
My client, a leading manufacturing company based in Marlow is looking to recruit a Press Brake setter operator on a full-time permanent basis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Set up and operate the press brake in accordance with work orders and technical drawings.
• Select, fit and adjust the correct tooling for each job.
• Interpret fabrication drawings to determine bend sequences, angles and tolerances.
• Program the CNC press brake where required.
• Check first-off and in-process components against drawings using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Complete SFR documentation for each work order after production
• Capture and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Ensure compliance with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
• Work proactively as part of a team to improve productivity & efficiency.
• Keep the press brake and surrounding work area clean, tidy and well maintained
• Follow all Company procedures & processes, including ISO.
• Assist with traceability of materials for work orders.
• Assist where necessary within the fabrication workshop.
• Undertake general workshop duties as required.
• Support the training of others on press brake operation where required.
Desired / required skills / experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating a press brake within a workshop environment.
• Knowledge of fabrication machinery, e.g. CNC saws, punches.
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
• Understanding of and ability to maintain records.
• Ability to accurately interpret fabrication drawings.
• Good understanding of bend allowances, tooling and material properties.
Hours of work are 07.30 – 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 07.30 – 16.00 on Fridays covering a total of 41 hours per week.
A salary of 32k per annum is on offer for the successful candidate with 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays). In addition, my client pays a quarterly/annual bonus worth an additional £4-5k per annum.
