Rural East Grinstead
Salary: Paid to Scale
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Term Time Only)
Transport: Driver required due to location
Start Date: September
About the Role
This specialist independent SEMH provision set in a unique and nurturing environment. We are seeking a passionate and resilient Class Teacher to work across Primary (KS2) and KS3, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment that supports SEMH learners
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across KS2 and KS3
• Work closely with and direct Teaching Assistants to maximise pupil support
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies and uphold high expectations
• Monitor progress through regular assessment, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Support the development of literacy and communication skills across the curriculum
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to whole-school development
What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching KS2 and/or KS3 students
• Experience or strong interest in SEMH / SEN settings
• Strong behaviour management and relational teaching approach
• Ability to deliver creative and adaptable lessons
• A collaborative and positive team player
