SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary) Start Date: September Pay: £16.90 per hour Contract: Long-term, full-time We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant in Bolton to work within a mainstream primary school supporting pupils who require additional support in the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant or SEND Support Worker looking for a new role in the Bolton area. Key responsibilities: • Providing 1:1 support and small group support for pupils with additional needs. • Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs. • Supporting emotional regulation, routines and positive behaviour. • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team. • Encouraging confidence, independence and engagement in lessons. • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development. We are looking for people who have: • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN / SEND. • A calm, patient and resilient approach. • Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. • A genuine interest in working in education and supporting vulnerable learners.
