Job description

To deliver a specialist clinical psychology service within the Nottingham Community Stroke Team. To offer highly specialised neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based interventions as required (face to face and by telephone/video) to adults within the first 12 months post stroke living with the cognitive, emotional and behavioural consequences of stroke. To offer risk management and assessment of mental capacity. To support the Community Stroke Team with psychological aspects of their work with patients and families/carers, offering consultation, teaching, training and joint working to support rehabilitation of the individual as appropriate.Implement care pathways and protocols for the assessment and treatment of cognition and mood related to stroke and implement within the service using a stepped care model.For more information, please see the attached job description and person specification. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
