Private Client Solicitor (NQ – 5 Years PQE)Location: Chelmsford, Essex Position: Full-Time, Permanent About the RoleAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and client-focused Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and growing legal practice in Chelmsford. This role is ideally suited to a solicitor from Newly Qualified level up to 5 years' PQE who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive Private Client team. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will advise individuals and families on a broad range of private client matters, providing practical legal solutions and exceptional client service throughout. Key Responsibilities • Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, with appropriate supervision depending on experience level. • Advise clients on: • Wills and estate planning • Probate and estate administration • Lasting Powers of Attorney • Court of Protection matters • Deputyship applications • Trust administration and succession planning • Prepare and draft legal documents accurately and efficiently. • Conduct client meetings both in person and remotely. • Deliver clear, practical and commercially aware legal advice tailored to individual circumstances. • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high standard of client care at all times. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and file management requirements. • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department to support team objectives. • Contribute to business development activities and help strengthen professional referral networks. About YouThe successful candidate will be personable, empathetic and committed to delivering outstanding client service. You will have a genuine interest in Private Client work and a desire to build long-term relationships with clients while developing your technical expertise. You will possess: • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) from NQ level up to 5 years' PQE. • Experience or training in Private Client matters, including Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail. • A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive client matters. • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team environment. • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to the continued success of the department.
