Description
• Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring their tax affairs are compliant and optimised.
• Provide expert advice on complex tax matters, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning.
• Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering tailored tax solutions to meet their needs.
• Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing technical expertise.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning and communicate these effectively to clients.
• Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure clients are informed of relevant updates.
• Collaborate with other departments to offer a holistic business services approach.
Profile
A successful Private Client Tax Manager should have:
• A professional tax qualification such as CTA, ACA or ACCA.
• Strong technical knowledge of private client tax, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of private clients.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
• Strong communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
