Private Client Tax Director - London (Hybrid)
£90,000 - £110,000 + Bonus + Benefits
The Opportunity
A leading professional services firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Director to join its growing Private Wealth and advisory team.
This is a senior leadership role focused on advising high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and trustees on complex tax and wealth structuring matters. The role is heavily advisory-led, with a strong emphasis on succession planning, inheritance tax, and trusts.
You will act as a trusted adviser to clients, lead complex projects, and play a key role in shaping the continued growth of the private client offering.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and advise a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees
• Lead complex advisory work including succession planning, trusts, estates, and inheritance tax planning
• Act as primary client contact for key relationships
• Support business development through networking and identifying new advisory opportunities
• Oversee and deliver succession planning and multi-generational wealth structuring projects
• Manage client engagements including budgets, risk, billing, and delivery
• Liaise with tax authorities and other professional advisers
• Collaborate with other internal teams and specialists to deliver integrated advice
• Mentor, train, and support junior staff and contribute to their development
• Ensure compliance with internal quality and risk management procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and develop new work streams
Candidate Profile
• Strong technical knowledge of UK private client taxation
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees
• Proven expertise in succession planning, inheritance tax, trusts, and estates
• Experience managing a client portfolio and leading advisory projects
• Ability to supervise and develop junior team members
• Strong commercial awareness with experience identifying new opportunities
• CTA, ACA, or equivalent qualified
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and external advisers
