Procurement Officer

Hays are delighted to partner with a local public sector organisation. Procurement Officer for an initial 6-month assignment with strong temp-to-perm potential. The role involves leading complex tenders, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with UK procurement legislation. Key duties include: • Delivering a varied procurement pipeline and tender exercises • Developing procurement strategy, policies and processes • Driving governance, compliance, value for money and innovation • Providing advice on contract management (Intend) • Maintaining the Contract Register and e-tendering systems • Supporting spend analysis, training, FOIs and procurement content Requirements: • Public sector procurement experience is required. • PA23 training preferred • CIPS qualified / studying towards / willing to study Hours: Full-time (37 hours) Location: Warwick, 1-2 days per week on-site Hays EA is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
