Product Governance VP - Sales & Trading

A global investment bank is looking for a detail-focused Product Governance Specialist to join its Fixed Income Sales & Trading business. The business is growing and has a healthy pipeline of new products to bring to market, and therefore requires someone that can ensure this happens in a controlled, well-governed way. The role also requires someone that can ensure that the governance behind existing products stays sharp. You'll work across five desks (Securities Finance, Credit Trading, Macro Rates, FX and Risk Solutions) on two main fronts: • Coordinating approvals from "business case" to "go-live", working closely with Risk, Product Control, IT project teams and downstream functions, and guiding products through the New Product Committee. • Writing and improving the standards, processes and procedures that underpin good product governance, and keeping the key documentation such as booking arrangements, trader mandates, product taxonomy and data lineage, accurate and up to date. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of a Fixed Income product area inside out, front to back (rates, credit, FX or derivatives) • Experience taking products through the full lifecycle (analysis, build, testing and launch), as well as being part of product review cycles • Experience owning or running new product approval (NPC) submissions • Experience with building processes and authoring standards/policy documents • Meticulous, highly organised, and a genuinely clear communicator who can bring people along with a change • Experience engaging with regulators is a plus If you are someone who has worked in a hands-on team and is comfortable getting into the detail themselves, you will feel right at home!
