Production Administrator Location: Halstead, Essex Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Administrator on behalf of our client based in Halstead. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business where you'll become an integral part of the production team. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll be responsible for providing vital administrative support, ensuring production documentation is maintained accurately, employee records are kept up to date, and all compliance standards are met. The successful candidate will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working in a varied role where no two days are the same. Due to business requirements, applicants must be available for an immediate start. Main Purpose of the Role To provide comprehensive administrative support to the production department, ensuring all production paperwork, employee records and training documentation are completed accurately and efficiently. You will help maintain compliance with company procedures, food safety, quality and health & safety standards while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department. Roles & Responsibilities • Collate, check and archive production paperwork and works orders. • Produce product labels, signage and other production documentation. • Update production process sheets and production records. • Input production information onto costing sheets and internal systems. • Record employee time and attendance, including holidays and sickness. • Process holiday requests in conjunction with Shift Leaders. • Maintain employee files and training records, ensuring the training matrix remains up to date. • Support new starter inductions and return-to-work administration. • Liaise with supervisors and managers to resolve documentation queries. • Carry out print room audits and ensure documentation complies with company procedures. • Report health and safety concerns and near misses. • Ensure compliance with food safety, traceability, allergen management, quality and legal requirements. • Provide general administrative support across the production department. • Undertake any other duties required by the Shift Leader or Floor Manager. Additional Responsibilities • Support continuous improvement projects within the production department. • Assist with maintaining training procedures and documentation. • Promote a safe, organised and compliant working environment. • Complete all administrative duties accurately and within agreed deadlines. Experience, Skills & Qualifications • Previous administration experience is essential, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment. • Excellent IT skills with confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge of manufacturing, food production or quality processes would be advantageous, but is not essential. • Must be available for an immediate start. Working Pattern & Benefits • Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm. • Benefits: Full training provided, on-site parking, supportive working environment and opportunities for development. • Salary: National Minimum Wage (age dependent).
