Production Operative
• Location: Wallingford, OXFORD
• Job Type: Full-time – 7:00am to 3:00pm
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assisting in various stages of assembly and finishing, ensuring high standards of quality and workmanship.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Assist in the assembly and finishing of moulded parts as directed by the Team Leader, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare mouldings in support of the production schedule.
• Participate in the preparation and bonding of boats, as well as the cutting, grinding, and flow coating of bonded boats.
• Contribute to other areas of the manufacturing process as directed by your line supervisor.
• Produce sub-assemblies as required.
• Assist in the training of new production operatives and other personnel.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workstation.
• Operate in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety procedures and other related policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• A good standard of general education.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, or a BTEC Level qualification in Engineering with 1–2 years of experience.
• Practical skills and proficiency in using conventional workshop power and hand tools.
• Self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate instructions clearly and effectively.
• Highly organised with a good work ethic and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Team player with a strong attention to detail.
