Professional Discipline & Healthcare Litigation Solicitor – Edinburgh An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join a highly regarded litigation team specialising in professional discipline, regulatory and clinical defence work. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a unique and rewarding area of practice, acting for a broad range of regulated professionals in complex and sensitive matters. You'll work on a varied caseload, representing clients in court proceedings, regulatory investigations and disciplinary hearings, while benefiting from exposure to high-quality work and excellent career development. The Role You will advise and represent regulated professionals in a broad range of matters, including: • Professional discipline and regulatory investigations • Clinical defence and complex litigation • Court proceedings and public inquiries where appropriate • Case preparation, including drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal submissions • Instructing counsel and expert witnesses • Advocacy at procedural hearings and, where appropriate, substantive hearings • Building and maintaining strong client relationships • Supporting business development and contributing to the continued success of the team About You You'll be a Scottish qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE and a solid litigation background. Experience in professional discipline, regulatory, clinical negligence, professional indemnity or insurance litigation would be advantageous, although applications from commercial litigators with a genuine interest in developing in this specialist area are also encouraged. You'll also have: • Experience of court procedures and litigation • Excellent communication and client relationship skills • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for advocacy • A proactive attitude towards business development The Opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and respected litigation practice known for handling high-quality, complex work.
