Progress Coach Location: York Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £16 per hour Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? Reed FE is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused Progress Coach to join a Pastoral Team of an Further Education College in York. Key responsibilities will include: • Delivering engaging one-to-one and group Professional Development/tutorial sessions. • Creating high-quality resources to support student development. • Tracking, monitoring and supporting students' academic progress, attendance and wellbeing. • Planning and supporting enterprise, employability and progression activities. • Guiding students through higher education, apprenticeship and employment applications. • Supporting work experience planning and progression opportunities. • Assisting students with careers research and informed decision-making. • Liaising with curriculum teams and parents/carers to maximise student engagement, attendance and achievement. About You We are looking for an organised, proactive and supportive individual who can build positive relationships and help students succeed. You will have: • An understanding of the needs of 16–18-year-old and/or adult learners. • Experience of effectively liaising with and coordinating activities in an educational setting or similar environment. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Strong organisational and time-management abilities. • The ability to motivate, inspire and support students from a range of backgrounds. All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks. Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
