Project Manager – Utility Scale Solar (Up to 50MW) | Outside IR35 Location: York (Site-Based) Job Type: Contract (Outside IR35) Sector: Renewable Energy / Utility Scale Solar We're recruiting on behalf of a leading renewable energy contractor for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of utility-scale solar PV projects across the UK, with schemes up to 50MW. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work and play a key role in delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. The Role As Project Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the successful delivery of utility-scale solar projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget. You'll manage site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders while ensuring the project is delivered to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of utility-scale solar PV projects up to 50MW. Manage project programmes, budgets and commercial performance. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams. Ensure all works are delivered safely and in line with CDM regulations. Chair client and progress meetings. Monitor programme milestones and report on project performance. Manage project risks and resolve issues as they arise. Work closely with engineering, commercial and commissioning teams through to project completion. About You We're looking for someone with a proven background delivering major infrastructure or renewable energy projects. Ideally you'll have: Experience managing utility-scale solar projects. A strong background within renewable energy, utilities, power or civil engineering. Experience working under NEC contracts. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills. SMSTS certification. Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety best practice. Full UK driving licence.
