Are you ready to take your career in the housing sector to the next level? Our client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Project Surveyor to join their Investment Team! This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a variety of planned programme projects while ensuring the highest levels of workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Surveyor, you will:
• Lead assigned projects from pre-tender procurement through to final handover.
• Prepare specifications, manage procurement, and oversee project management and contract administration.
• Act as Principal Designer when necessary, ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
• Manage budgets effectively to ensure financial efficiency.
• Coordinate with external advisors, including architects, engineers, and local authorities.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and expectations managed.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A strong understanding of the construction industry and detailed knowledge of building regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Experience in managing substantial budgets and delivering projects on time and to budget.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead meetings.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various stakeholders.
• A flexible attitude to working hours, with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Qualifications: (Desireable but candidate must be able to demonstrate strong practical experience)
• Degree in Building Maintenance, Construction, or equivalent (OND, HND).
• Professional qualification (or working towards) such as RICS, CIOB, or RIBA.
• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
