Job description

Job type: Permanent Working Hours: 9am - 5.30pm Hybrid: 3 days in the office post on-boarding I have partnered with a growing Real Estate business, based in Central London. They are seeking an experienced Property Accounts Assistant to support the financial management of a diverse real estate portfolio and development assets across multiple entities. This would suit candidates with proven experience in property finance looking for the next step in their career. Day-to-day of the role: • Maintain and review rent rolls, ensuring accuracy of tenant data, lease terms, and billing schedules. • Assist with bank reconciliations and manage various types of rent charges. • Support production of rent roll reporting and income forecasts. • Assist in year-end service charge reconciliations and liaise with property managers on service charge queries. • Produce and maintain tenant arrears reports and liaise with property managers regarding collection strategies. • Perform reconciliations between internal records and managing agent statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Prepare monthly property-level financial reports and assist in the production of management accounts. • Validate and reconcile void service charge costs and ensure proper VAT recovery. • Track empty rates relief periods and reconcile rates charges. • Maintain accurate financial data within property management and accounting systems. • Ensure compliance with company policies, lease terms, and regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience in property finance or Client Accounting • Strong understanding of service charge, rent & lease structures • Proficient in Excel and capable of handling large datasets and reconciliations. • Experience with property finance systems is desirable. • High attention to detail with strong reconciliation skills. Personal Attributes: • Highly organised and process driven. • Strong analytical mindset with a methodical approach to transactional work. • Confident communicator, comfortable in liaising with various stakeholders and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
