Our client, a medium sized law firm in Chancery Lane are looking for a Professional Support Lawyer to join their Commercial Disputes & Class Actions.
Ideally they are seeking a lawyer with a strong background in disputes to enhance their dispute resolution offering. This role is integral to ensuring that the firms commercial disputes and class actions lawyers are equipped with up-to-date legal knowledge, innovative tools, best in class resources and supported with business development projects to deliver exceptional service to clients. The PSL will provide technical legal support, work alongside the rest of the Knowledge team on training initiatives, support business opportunities and contribute to thought leadership offerings.
Key responsibilities:
• Monitoring markets and legal trends and opportunities for commercial disputes and class actions
• Developing and delivering ad hoc client and/or in-team training
• Assisting lawyers with preparation of materials for internal and external training/speaking events
• Collaborating with the team and Business Development and Marketing to produce a high-quality knowledge-focused website, social media content, and other client-facing client work product
• Assisting lawyers with knowledge-driven content for specific client or project proposals
• Creating and maintaining precedents, templates, standard advice bank
• In coordination with the wider Knowledge team, monitoring emerging litigation technology, evaluating benefits, and providing feedback to the Head of Knowledge & Innovation and partners. Contributing to and assisting with the scoping and administration of pilots to test innovation within the team
Skills and attributes:
• They are looking for an experienced lawyer (6-8 PQE) with a strong sense of commerciality alongside technical excellence
• Good knowledge of civil procedure, case management and dispute resolution strategies
• Experience of class actions, from book-build and funding to delivering disputes services would be preferable
• Excellent legal research and drafting skills
• Experience of developing and delivering client and internal training
Salary circa £94,000 and a great working culture and competitive benefits
