MacKenzie King are proud to be working in partnership with a key business in Ipswich to assist them in finding a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their impressive team. The successful candidate will be someone who has proven experience of end-to-end purchase ledger processing and can work well as part of the team to deliver accurate and timely results. With a path to progression built into this role from the start the Purchase Ledger Assistant should be keen to develop themselves further and is seeking more responsibility within their role. Key Responsibilities • Ensure timely processing of purchase ledger invoices • Maintain and strengthen relationships with suppliers • Manage and review payment runs ensuring alignment with compliance and company policies • Reconciliation of supplier statements • Support month end processes including the preparation of reports and assisting with audits • Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial processes and systems • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls • Support all finance team members with tasks and processes within their respective areas Essential Skills and Experience • Proven experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role • A strong understanding of accounting and finance principles • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers • Self-motivated and keen to learn • A can-do, team player mentality Reference: 887620 To find out more about this opportunity, please contact Ben at MacKenzie King.
