Purchasing Administrator

Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator Full Time | Permanent | Excellent Benefits Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator to join their busy procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous purchasing experience who enjoys building supplier relationships, negotiating the best deals and ensuring products are available to meet customer demand. Working in a fast-paced commercial environment, you'll play a key role in supporting the wider business by managing stock replenishment, maintaining strong supplier partnerships and helping to ensure orders are delivered on time and within budget. The Role Managing stock levels and ensuring products are replenished in line with business demand. Raising and processing purchase orders using the company's ERP system. Monitoring supplier lead times and proactively chasing outstanding orders. Negotiating prices, delivery schedules and commercial terms with suppliers. Researching and sourcing new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with existing suppliers. Supporting the sales and operations teams with purchasing information and product availability. Investigating stock discrepancies and resolving supply issues. Attending supplier meetings and reviewing supplier performance. Assisting with purchasing reports, rebates and cost-saving initiatives. About You Previous purchasing or buying experience within a commercial environment (minimum three years preferred). Confident negotiating with suppliers and building long-term relationships. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Commercially aware with excellent problem-solving abilities. Experience using ERP or stock management systems. Customer-focused with excellent communication skills. Self-motivated, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A positive, proactive approach and a genuine desire to deliver excellent service.
