QA Test Analyst – Automation
Location: (Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle)

Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Test Analyst to join a high-performing delivery team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of digital services through the design, development, and maintenance of robust automated testing solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in test automation, a passion for quality engineering, and experience working within complex, large-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain automated test solutions for both UI and API layers
• Develop and enhance test frameworks and automation suites to improve efficiency and scalability
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
• Execute automated and manual testing where required, ensuring full test coverage
• Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution
• Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines by integrating automated tests
• Contribute to best practices in quality assurance and test engineering
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in test automation across UI and API testing
• Strong understanding of automation frameworks and test design principles
• Experience working with common testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or similar)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Non-Functional Testing Expertise
• Knowledge of non-functional testing, including:
• Performance testing
• Security testing
• Accessibility testing
• Understanding of relevant testing standards, tools, and methodologies
