Key Responsibilities
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets with clear variance analysis
• Support transition from existing ERP system to Business Central (or similar system) along with on going systems development.
• Management of core month end processes including (but not limited to) journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations including oversight of bank reconciliations
• Deliver commercial analysis across revenue, margins and overall performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships across finance and non finance teams, providing support and development to junior colleagues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, controls and financial processes.
Requirements
• Qualified accountant or for an exceptional candidates QBE
• Strong management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting background.
• Understanding of revenue recognition and WIP reporting
• A proficient Excel user with extensive experience of using ERP systems
• Commercially minded with strong analytical ability and the confidence to challenge and explain financial data.
• Highly organised; able to prioritise and multitask whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.
• A proactive solutions-oriented individual
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Benefits
• Annual salary of £55,000 to £65,000 depending on qualifications and experience
• 20 days holidays (plus Bank holidays) rising to 25 days holidays
