Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in our nursery setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while fostering a nurturing environment that supports children's development and well-being. Duties • Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities that promote early learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework • Supervise and support children’s daily routines, including play, meals, rest, and hygiene • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children at all times • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication • Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones • Lead and mentor junior staff members, ensuring adherence to nursery policies and procedures • Collaborate with team members to develop personalised care plans for individual children • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting • Assist with administrative tasks such as planning documentation and parent communication Requirements • recognised qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education (e.g., Level 2 NVQ or equivalent) • Proven experience working within a nursery or childcare environment • Strong management and leadership skills to guide a team effectively • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written • Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development • Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices • Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative • A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
