Qualified Social Worker, Children in Our Care Team, Barnsley Council Pay rate to £35 per hour Contract role Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a Children in Our Care Team in Barnsley Council. We are aspirational for our children and as a Social Worker in our Children In Care service, you will play a crucial role in advocating for the well-being and development of the looked after children and young people you support Your responsibilities will include: • Developing meaningful relationships with children and young people and ensuring that they are at the centre of everything we do. • Ensuring that plans for children and young people are creative, individualised and reflect the child’s voice, their hopes and aspirations and drive progress • Collaborating with family, carers and professionals to achieve best outcomes for children and young people and drive plans to robustly address physical, identity, emotional, and educational needs. • Supporting children to retain meaningful relationships with their families and wider networks • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions, assessments, and interventions. Prepare high-quality assessments and reports for looked after reviews, court proceedings, and other relevant purposes.
