Job description

Supervising Social Worker (Fostering) - TraffordWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Social Worker to join a leading, family-owned independent fostering agency. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting foster carers to provide safe, nurturing, and stable environments for children and young people, directly contributing to transforming lives. Responsibilities: • Manage and supervise a dedicated caseload of 12 foster carers, providing high-quality guidance and support visits. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks and child safeguarding procedures. • Collaborate with local authorities to maintain up-to-date care, placement, and pathway plans. • Facilitate foster carer reviews, identify training needs, and contribute to support group workshops. • Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant case recordings and manage essential documentation. • Participate in the out-of-hours support rota to ensure continuous care coverage. Qualifications: • Must be a qualified and registered Social Worker. • Proven professional experience in fostering, safeguarding, and complex care planning. • Strong communication and analytical skills with a steadfast commitment to professional development. • Ability to handle caseloads effectively while maintaining rigorous standards of documentation. • Full commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
