Quality & Hygiene Advisor Gloucester | Full-time, Permanent | Up to £35,000 (DOE) | 9am to 5pm Mon to Fri Why Apply? • Join a growing, high-quality food manufacturing business supplying premium products • Be part of a collaborative, hands-on team where your impact is visible • Take ownership of quality, hygiene, and food safety on site • Opportunity to develop people, improve systems, and drive change The Role This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for site-wide quality, food safety, and hygiene standards. You’ll lead the QC and Hygiene teams, ensuring the site operates to the highest standards of compliance, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce issues, and enhance product quality. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead quality, food safety, and hygiene compliance across site • Maintain HACCP, quality systems, and all compliance documentation • Conduct audits, inspections, and hygiene verification activities • Monitor product quality, analyse trends, and report on performance • Lead QC checks, tasting panels, and non-conformance management • Drive continuous improvement and complaint reduction initiatives • Support new product launches and process changes • Oversee GMP, hygiene standards, cleaning schedules, and chemical control • Train and coach teams to embed a strong food safety culture • Manage and develop the QC and Hygiene teams What We’re Looking For • Experience in quality or hygiene within food manufacturing • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards • Experience conducting audits and maintaining compliance systems • A hands-on leader who can engage and develop teams • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment • Good IT skills (Excel, Word, etc.) and attention to detail
