Job description

The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring our client consistently delivers products and processes that exceed customer expectations whilst supporting the successful introduction of new products into manufacture. Reporting to the Head of Operations & QHSE, the Quality Engineer will provide technical leadership across quality assurance, process validation, customer quality requirements and New Product Introduction (NPI). The role will ensure robust quality planning through Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Statistical Process Control (SPC), whilst driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation. The Quality Engineer will act as the technical interface between customers, suppliers, engineering and production, ensuring new products are introduced safely, efficiently and with minimal operational risk. As a key member of the Operations team, this role will help strengthen the Quality Management System, support IATF 16949 compliance and continually improve manufacturing capability. Key Skills Technical Knowledge • Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles. • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). • Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA). • Control Plans. • Statistical Process Control (SPC). • Measurement System Analysis (MSA). • Capability Studies (Cp/Cpk). • First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR). • Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone). • Engineering Change Management. • Process Validation. • Manufacturing Process Auditing. • ISO 9001. • IATF 16949.
