Quality Engineer We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for our reputable client (permanent position) • Location: Melksham, Wiltshire • Salary: £40,000-£45,000 • Bonus: Up to 10% • Pension: Matched up to 7.5% • Role: Quality Engineer About our Client hiring a Quality Engineer: An established engineering and manufacturing business with a strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement. They are now seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support production, process control, new product introduction and supplier quality across a technically demanding product range. Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer: • Lead quality activities across production • Review processes, controls and documentation, driving corrective actions and improvements • Maintain SOPs, Control Plans and other quality documents • Carry out patrol, final and document audits • Support NPI, APQP, PFMEA and validation activities • Support design reviews, change control, fault finding and failure analysis • Carry out incoming inspection and support supplier quality activities • Lead root cause investigations and continuous improvement work • Support testing, SPC, process capability analysis and data-driven improvements • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and control of quality records and certification documents • Provide technical quality support across Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain Requirements for the Quality Engineer role: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related technical role • Strong understanding of quality engineering within a manufacturing environment • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills • Experience with process control tools, data analysis and statistical methods • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements Desirable experience for the Quality Engineer role: • Experience in electronics manufacturing • Knowledge of IPC standards • Lead Auditor certification • Experience with supplier quality and incoming inspection • Knowledge of PFMEA, DFMEA, APQP and PPAP • Understanding of RoHS, REACH, traceability and product compliance requirements • Experience with Excel, Power BI, Power Automate or Visio • Six Sigma, SPC or Green Belt training • Experience with functional, environmental or reliability testing • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement tools What is Offered for the Quality Engineer role: • Competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 • Bonus up to 10% • Pension matched up to 7.5% • Medicash medical cover • Share incentive plan option • Permanent opportunity with long-term career prospects
