Quality Manager

Job Title: Quality Manager Location: Southend Remuneration: Up to £50,000 per annum Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time Are you ready to take the lead in quality assurance? Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager who is passionate about maintaining excellence in manufacturing processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee the management and maintenance of Quality Management Systems, ensuring adherence to ISO 9100/AS9100 standards. • Lead the Inspection team, serving as the company's management representative in all quality matters. • Ensure all calibration, testing, and qualification activities meet business standards and customer requirements. • Conduct inspection and verification of parts at various stages of production. • Maintain calibrated equipment in readiness for manufacturing. • Train staff in VisualFAIR software as per Customer/Design Authority Approval Requirements. • Create and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and Layout Inspection Reports (LAIR) to specification. • Plan and conduct internal and external audits to ISO9100 and AS9100 standards. • Drive continuous improvement within your team, identifying performance concerns and development opportunities. • Communicate daily workload effectively, ensuring discipline and teamwork. • Participate in management review meetings, collaborating with the Production Team. Core Skills/Attributes Needed: • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. • Expertise in First Article Inspection (FAIR/LAIR). • Qualified to conduct internal/external audits. • Strong initiative, time management, and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
