Job description

Quality Manager • Annual Salary: £40,000 (dependent on experience) • Location: East Sussex (TN postcode) • Job Type: Full-time Join a leader in their field committed to the highest standards in product quality, safety, and compliance. We are seeking a diligent and proactive Quality Manager to oversee our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure our products meet both internal and external quality standards. Day-to-day of the role: • Maintain and continuously improve the QMS. • Oversee compliance with BRCGS, RSPO, retailer audits, and other relevant standards. • Manage day-to-day operations of the quality department. • Conduct customer complaint investigations and responses. • Perform internal and hygiene audits. • Maintain and review product specifications. • Oversee the raising and investigation of non-conformances. • Manage customer complaints and visits. • Conduct relevant training sessions with production and office staff. • Report to the Partnership QA and Compliance Manager on trending issues and monthly quality reports. • Ensure compliance with scheduled swabbing and product testing. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or in a similar technical role within the industry. • Strong understanding of quality systems and standards such as BRC, RSPO, and GMP. • Experience in hosting external audits. • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Must be a friendly, flexible, and reliable team member who thrives in a busy environment. • Confidence in dealing with customers and external stakeholders. • Desirable: Level 3 HACCP, Level 3 Food Safety, experience in an FMCG environment.
